Ingress - Gettysburg

Lo scorso sabato ho partecipato ad uno degli eventi di Ingress, a Gettysburg in Pennsylvania... ma in realtà c'ero stata la settimana prima a fare un giro con Wilson e a visitare un po'.

Quindi ecco un po' di foto.

Last Saturday I participated to one of the Ingress anomaly, in Gettysburg PA... but I was there also the previous weekend, visiting a little with Wilson.

Essenzialmente a Gettysburg ci sono lapidi e statue e memoriali sparpagliate per tutto il campo di battaglia. Si passa in stradine in mezzo ai campi (letteralmente) e a lato strada ci sono tutti i vari monumenti. Non so nemmeno di preciso quanti ne ho visti, ma credo ce ne siano ancora parecchi che non ho visto.
La città di Gettysburg è carina, magari la prossima volta farò qualche foto, perché ovviamente mi sono scordata.

In Gettysburg there are memorial and commemorative stones scattered in all the battlefield. There are a lot of street in the middle of the field and on the side all the different monuments. I have no idea how many of them I saw, but I am sure there are still a lot to see.
The town of Gettysburg is nice, maybe next time I'll take some more pictures, because, of course, I forgot.

Aggiungo solo che i miei pensano che ormai mi sia convertita a qualche tipo di setta con Ingress, e mia mamma ha detto che si sapeva da tempo che sono svampita (ma sperava fossi migliorata recentemente... eh, è da un po' che sono via da casa...).

My parents think I am now an adept of dome kind of cult because of Ingress.
Anyway my mother said that it was well know I am a Svampi (empty-headed), but she hoped I was getting better recently... it is a while I am away from home...).

E il titolo?

Comunque, il titolo del blog lo dobbiamo a quel balordo di Michele e fa riferimento al mio tentativo (probabilmente terribile) di scrivere in due lingue.... perché non ero confusa abbastanza...
E Svampi(ta) sono io, sempre a detta del balordo, ma devo ammettere che ha i suoi buoni motivi per pensarlo!
Speriamo bene!

Anyway, the idea of the title of this blog comes from Michele (balordo), and refers to my attempt (probably terrible) to write in two languages... as if I wasn't enough confused by myself...
I am Svampi (empty-headed), as Michele said, but I admit he has good reasons to say so!

Visto che adesso sono a Silver Spring e non più a Baltimora, ho deciso che era ora di cambiare blog, quindi eccomi qui!

Farò anche uno sforzo di scrivere i post anche in inglese, così se qualcuno degli amici americani vuole leggere non deve litigare con il google translate... anche se non sono così sicura di scrivere così bene per cui ne valga la pena.
Peraltro, controintuitivamente, utilizzerò il corsivo per scrivere in inglese (che si chiama italic qui).

Considering I am now in Silver Spring, and not in Baltimore anymore, I decided to have a brand new blog, and here I am!
I am going to try and write in English too, to help the American friends who want to read, without have to fight with google translate... but I am not really sure my English is good enough to be worth it. 
Also, counter-intuitively, I use italic to write in English.
