Stamattina sono andata a passeggiare ascoltando questo episodio di "This American Life", ho riso tutto il tempo da sola. C'è un bel sole, non fa troppo freddo e sto ancora ridendo... Direi un buon inizio.

This morning I went for a walk listening to this episode of "This American Life", I was laughing all the time. There is a wonderful bright sun, it not really cold, and I am still laughing... It is a good beginning.

The book Thief - Markus Zusak

In italiano "La ladra di libri".

Il libro è ambientato in Germania negli anni della Seconda Guerra Mondiale e segue la storia di Liesel Meminger, una ragazzina che viene data in affidamento ad una coppia che abita vicino Monaco.
Liesel all'inizio non sa nemmeno leggere molto bene, ma in qualche modo è attirata dai libri e grazie all'aiuto del padre adottivo riesce ad amare la lettura. Le parole diventano parte integrante della sua vita.
Il punto di vista del racconto, però, non è quello della ragazzina, infatti la storia è raccontata dalla Morte, e questo rende il libro molto interessante. Il filo logico e cronologico della storia a volte salta avanti e indietro e a me è piaciuto davvero molto.
Interessante è anche l'ambientazione e il periodo storico trattati.
Questo libro mi ha regalato parecchie emozioni e anche qualche lacrima, lo consiglio davvero.
E' stato fatto anche un film l'anno scorso.

The story takes place in Germany during the Second World War and follows the life of Liesel Meminger during those years. She is a girl given to the custody of a couple in a village near Munich.
At the beginning Liesel is not even able to read very well, but she is attracted to books, her adoptive father is able to help her to learn to read and she begins to love reading.
The words become a very essential part of her life.
The point of view of the book is not Liesel, the story is told by the Death, and this makes the book really interesting. The narration jumps back and forth sometimes and I liked this a lot.
Interesting is also the location and the historic moment.
This book gave me a lot of emotions and some tears, I really recommend it.
Last year a movie based on the book was made.

Asolo

Domenica mattina ho fatto una passeggiata ad Asolo.
Giornata di sole eccezionale per la stagione, faceva talmente caldo che ad un certo punto ero in maniche corte, specialmente durante la salita alla Rocca.
Adesso sono due giorni che ho malissimo i polpacci in compenso... 
Google mi ha creato automaticamente la storia con le foto fatte domenica:
