Headstand

Ecco, Wilson sa già fare la posizione sulla testa e io ancora no... Ma ci sono vicina e sono convinta che ce la posso fare.
Vedo un sacco di miglioramenti e sono proprio contenta.

Wilson is already able to do the headstand and I can't yet... But I am getting close and I believe I'll make it.
I am really improving in my yoga practice and I am really happy about that.

Firenze 2

Allora, sono a Firenze per fare un po' di vacanza, ma in realtà per partecipare ad un corso intensivo di yoga... La scorsa settimana sono morta, la prossima andrà meglio e magari con calma racconto qualcosa.
Sto anche giocando un sacco ad Ingress, seguirà post specifico anche riguardo a questo.

I am in Florence for vacation, but really to do an intensive yoga training... Last week I was insanely tired, this week it is going to go better and maybe I'll write something about it.
I am also playing a lot of Ingress, I am going to write a specific post about that too.

Nail art di luglio e agosto

Tutti i miei smalti sono arrivati sani e salvi. Per diminuire il rischio di rottura e di incendio li avevo equamente divisi nelle 4 valigie (la quarta valigia è arrivata lunedì, grazie a mia cugina mi sono salvata un po' di soldini).
L'impacchettamento migliore lo vince il tubo con i poster, al cui interno avevo impilato 7-8 smalti e per evitare che si muovessero avevo anche messo del cotone. Mi stupisco non mi abbiano aperto nessuna valigia agli aeroporti per controllare.

All my nail polishes arrived safely home. To limit the possibility of damage and the flammable risk, they were equally divided in the 4 suitcases (the 4th one arrived home on Monday, thanks to my cousin I didn't pay anything for it).
The best package I made in a tube with some posters, in the central empty part I inserted 7-8 nail polishes and to avoid movements I put also some cotton balls. I am really surprised at the airport check they didn't open any of my suitcases.

avendo trovato una base peel off mi sono sbizzarrita con i glitter ultimamente, molto più facili da rimuovere. Questo era un tentativo di gradient su smalto nude della Revlon.

I found a peel off base coat, and I can now use glitters without problems for the removal. This was an attempt to gradient on a nude base from Revlon.

E' uscita la nuova collezione Venice di OPI 10 giorni prima che lasciassi gli USA, due smalti sono diventati miei! Questo è Purple Palazzo Pants, con altri glitter.

The new OPI Venice collection was released 10 days before I left the US, two of them are mine! This is Purple Palazzo Pants, with more glitters.

E questo è il mio nuovo smalto preferito: OPI Be There in a Prosecco (color crema). La diagonale color bronzo è uno smalto Essence della linea Nude.

And this is my new favourite polish: OPI Be There in a Prosecco (the cream color). The diagonal is with a bronze colore from Essence, the Nudes.

Il mio primo tentativo di gradient fatto con la spugnetta! Purtroppo si vede la linea bianca perché ho un po' abbondato con il lattice liquido (sto usando il Simply Peel) per non sporcare le cuticole.

My frist attempt to do a gradient using a sponge! Unfortunately you can see the white line because I used too much liquid latex (I am using Simply Peel) to keep my skin clean.

French rielaborato con OPI Be There in a Prosecco e OPI Scores a Goal (color marsala, che è il colore dell'anno). Non molto estiva come combinazione, ma mi andava così ieri.

Revised French using OPI Be There in a Posecco and OPI Scores a Goal (marsala, the color of the year). Not really a combination for summer, but yesterday I wanted to do that.

Non so come farò in Italia con gli smalti OPI che costano il doppio di quanto li pagavo un USA (e già era tantino...), dovrò trovare un nuovo brand da seguire alla follia.

I don't know how to do with OPI crazy expensive here in Italy (they were expensive enough in the US...), I am going to find a new brand to follow as crazy.

There is no place like home

Oggi è una settimana che sono a casa in Italia, mi sto riprendendo dal viaggio e sto riposando.

A Silver Spring sono riuscita a smaltire un sacco di roba: mobili e cose della cucina sono stati venduti alla nuova inquilina, la bicicletta venduta ad una signora conosciuta allo studio di yoga, vestiti e scarpe ed extra roba dati in beneficenza.

Ho deciso che avrei portato a casa massimo 4 valigie e ci sono riuscita! Una non è ancora arrivata, me la porta a casa mia cugina nei prossimi giorni.

Ho fatto l'ultimo giro a DC e ho cercato di salutare le persone che conosco... purtroppo mi prendo sempre all'ultimo a fare le cose e quindi non sono riuscita a salutare tutti, mi toccherà tornare.

Il viaggio di ritorno è andato bene, a parte aver perso la coincidenza a Mosca (si, ho fatto un giro strano ma costava meno e mi davano due valigie in stiva) ed essere quindi arrivata a casa 12 ore dopo l'arrivo previsto.

Adesso sono a casa dei miei e sto cercando di buttare via roba vecchia per far posto al contenuto delle valigie, due più il bagaglio a mano per ora sono state svuotate... prima della fine della prossima settimana spererei di aver fatto abbastanza pulizia.

Ora mi riprendo un po' e faccio vacanza, con calma riprenderò anche il blog, presumo sarò un po' latitante prossimamente.

Today marks one week I am back home, I am taking a rest from the trip.

In Silver Spring I was able to get rid of a lot of my stuff: furniture and kitchenware have been sold to the new roomate, the bicycle to a friend from the yoga studio, clothes, shoes, and extra stuff to charity.

I decided I was going to fill only 4 suitcases and I made it! One suitcase is still not here, my cousin will bring home to me in the next days.

I made the last visit to DC and I tryed to say goodbye to the people I know... but I always do things at the last moment and I missed a lot of people, I'll have to come back for that and I am really sorry.

The flights back were good, but I missed the connection flight in Moscow (I did a weird detour because it was cheaper and I got two free of charge pieces of luggage), and I arrived home with 12 hours delay to the expected time.

Now I am at my parents house, trying to get rid of old stuff to have the space for the content of the suitcases, up to know two and the hand luggage are empty... before the end of this week I wish to have done enough cleaning to fit everything.

So now I am going to take a rest and do some vacation, with calm I'll take care of the blog too.

Bene, visto che, nonostante la stanchezza, non riesco a dormire, ho deciso che posso anche aggiornare il blog con qualche foto di oggi.
