Ci sarebbe anche un quinto libro ma non l'ho letto, mi sono fermata alla saga originaria.
Premetto che ho letto "Ender's game" più di un anno fa, mentre gli altri tre li ho letti tutti un paio di mesi fa... e si, sono stata molto veloce a leggerli (non più di una settimana per "Speaker for the Dead". Sono bei libri e quindi si leggono veloci.
Di "Ender's game" esiste anche il film, uscito nel 2013, che però non ho ancora avuto il piacere di vedere.
Il genere dei libri è fantascienza e il primo libro inizia con la Terra, sovrapopolata, che deve fare i conti con l'attacco di una razza aliena, i buggers, che assomigliano a degli enormi insettoni. Ender Wiggins, il protagonista, viene scelto per le sue doti speciali per essere arruolato nella scuola di guerra, una stazione spaziale dove altri ragazzini come lui vengono addestrati a combattere gli alieni. L'addestramento prende la forma dai giochi, e videogiochi, di guerra a cui vengono sottoposti i bambini.
Il mio preferito dei quattro è sicuramente "Speaker for the Dead" (la traduzione italiana "Il riscatto di Ender" non rende per niente giustizia!). Per raccontare la trama dovrei per forza parlare della fine del primo libro e, se non l'avete letto e volete leggerlo, non voglio proprio rovinarvi il finale. Oppure potete guardare il film, ma io sono sempre più favorevole ai libri, se non si era capito finora.
In generale li consiglio tutti e quattro, anche se il quarto è un po' lento, ma se volete leggere tutta la saga ci sta. Il quinto in realtà sarebbe da situarsi cronologicamente tra il primo e il secondo, penso lo leggerò in futuro ma per il momento non ne sento la necessità.

First of all I have to say I read "Ender's game" more than a year ago, whereas I read the other three not more than a couple of months ago... and yes, I was really fast in reading those (not more than a week for "Speaker for the Dead"). They are good books and I can read them fast.
In 2013 it was out also a movie based on "Ender's game", but I still haven't had the pleasure to watch it.
The books are in the sci-fi category, and the first one starts with an overpopulate Earth, where the people have to face also the menace of an alien race, the buggers, very similar to big insects. Ender Wiggins, the main character, is chosen for his special characteristic to go to the Battle School, a space station where boys are trained to fight the aliens. The training is composed of games and videogames.
My favorite is the second book, "Speaker for the Dead", but to tell something about it I should tell the end of the first one and, if you want to read it, I really don't want to spoil it. Or you can watch the movie, but I am more for reading books, if it wasn't clear up to now.
I can suggest all four of them, even if the fourth one is a little slow, but if you want to read the entire saga it is still a good reading. The fifth one is chronologically after the first one, I'll read it but for now I don't feel it is necessary.
