Zombie walk

Ieri sera a Silver Spring c'erano gli zombie.

Yesterday night there were zombies in Silver Spring.

Sono le otto e sto morendo dal sonno, sono proprio vecchia dentro... e comunque yoga e bicicletta (controvento) mi hanno un po' provato, diciamo, quindi me ne andrò a dormire molto presto.

Ma prima ascolto un po' di Ayreon - The Theory of Everything, altrimenti GeaX (il mio guru musicale) non mi parla più perché ho il cd da quattro giorni e non l'ho ancora ascoltato. Infatti ha concluso la conversazione con "Spengo tutto allora, inutile stare qui a parlare di musica se commetti simili nefandezze".

Però ho deciso di postare più musica in questo blog e sono sicura che apprezzerà la seguente scelta.

It is 8pm and I am sleepy, I am really old... anyway, yoga and bike-riding (against the wind) were a little too much for me and I am going to bed really early today.

But before that I listen a little to Ayreon - The Theory of Everything, or GeaX (my musical guru) is not going to talk to me anymore because it is four days that I have the CD and I still haven't listened to it. 

I decided to share more music in the blog, and I am sure even GeaX will agree with this choice.

Ghost stories

E' chiaro, quindi, che ho almeno un fantasma in casa, quindi per Halloween sono a posto.

It is clear that I have at least a ghost in my house, I am ready for Halloween.

A parte questo, le altre Ghost Stories (ovvero l'ultimo album dei Coldplay), mi è stato consegnato oggi da Babbo Natale/Amazon, assieme all'ultimo libro di Sophie Kinsella... Per questo mese prevedo che non finirò il libro per il book club.

Apart from this, the other Ghost Stories (from Coldplay) arrived today, thanks to  Santa Claus/Amazon, together with the new book from Sophie Kinsella... For this month I can foresee I am not going to read the book for the book club.

Ho comprato un affare per fare le uova sode al microonde... quadrate! Ecco il primo esperimento con l'aggiunta di formaggio e fagiolini. Già immagino come sarà facile incastrare l'uovo quadrato nei miei bento.

I bought an egg cooker to make boiled eggs in the microwave... square eggs! This is the first attempt, with the addition of cheese and green beans. I am already picturing how easy is going to be to pack square eggs in my bentos.

Per continuare dal post precedente, ho comprato i croissant alla zucca e il gelato alla zucca.

To recall the previous post, I bought pumpkin croissant and pumpkin ice cream.

PS: Per Michele, ho trovato come mettere di nuovo le Reazioni sotto ai post, divertiti, tanto non puoi dire niente di brutto sui miei post :P

Pumpkin season

E' già, è stagione di zucca... quindi, a parte il Pumpkin Spice Latte da Starbucks, compaiono tutte le varianti della zucca (più spezie: cannella, noce moscata e zenzero).
Lo scorso fine settimana mi sono comprata il preparato per fare i biscotti alla zucca, un po' troppo zuccherati per i miei gusti, ma buoni.
Questo weekend invece è toccato ai pancake alla zucca.

It is pumpkin season... and, other than the Pumpkin Spice Latte, all variants of pumpkin are appearing (pumpkin spice in particular).
Last weekend I bought the pumpkin cookie mix, the cookies are a little too sweet for me, but really good.
This weekend it was time for the pumpkin pancake mix.

Lucine di Halloween

Devo anche intagliare la zucca con la mia coinquilina, probabilmente domani che sono in vacanza per il Columbus Day (ho del lavoro al pc da fare, ma almeno posso stare a casa e dormire la mattina.... questo mi ricorda che devo ancora di disattivare la sveglia... fatto!).

I have to do pumpkin carving with my roomate, probably tomorrow because I am at home for Columbus Day (I have some computer work to do, but at least I can be at home and sleep more in the morning... that reminds me to deactivate my alarm... done!).

Due settimane fa sono andata a farmi fare la manicure e ho optato per il gel... che è durato due settimane (a me lo smalto normale dura mezza giornata, almeno ho avuto belle unghie per un pezzo)

Two weeks ago I went to the salon to have gel manicure, it lasted two weeks (the normal polish stays good on me for half a day, with the gel I had nice nails for a while)

Adesso sono invece passata al colore che più si addice per la mia anima dark

Now I have a color more suited for my dark soul

A proposito, sono stata al concerto dei Lacuna Coil, erano qui a Silver spring, non potevo perdermeli
